Thomas Toolson, DDS

Tom Toolson was born to be a dentist. His grandfather was a dentist. His great-uncle and uncle were dentists. His father broke tradition becoming a pharmacist only to see the error of his ways... then he too became a dentist. Tom learned from his father's mistake, he knew dentistry ran thick in his blood, and there was no better profession for him.

Tom attended Brigham Young University where he was on a football scholarship while earning his undergraduate degree. He played tight-end, and it is no coincidence that BYU went to the Fiesta Bowl game while Tom was playing!

A very devout Christian, Tom served a two year mission in South Florida and Puerto Rico. He loved his time being there serving the people and learning of their culture. Now, a fluent Spanish speaker, Tom loves to converse with friends, family and patients in Spanish. It brings him back to his missionary days.

Dr. Toolson received his DDS from University of Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Upon completion he moved to Fairfield to start his practice. Because Tom loves Fairfield so much, he and his wife of over 40 years have raised their 6 beautiful children here.

Leading a well balanced life is very important to Dr. T. He loves helping his patients experience the latest dental techniques such as Cerec crowns, Waterlase, Invisalign and Dental Implants. In his free time Tom loves to be with his family and serve in his Church. He and his wife, Diane, love to ride bikes together. They have completed 10 century bike rides! Tom loves to travel and spend time with his children and  grandchildren. He enjoys snow skiing and also dabbles in golf from time to time......okay he loves to golf!

Kenneth Reyes, DDS

Dentist

I am both a graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry (where I received my doctorate in dentistry) and the University of California at Davis (where I received a BS in biology). I have been practicing dentistry for many years and have been working with Dr. Toolson since 2007. My goals are to achieve a comprehensive, practical, compassionate and understanding approach to treating patients. I am a member of the CDA, ADA and Contra Costa Dental Society.

I enjoy the simple things in life during my down time away from dentistry: tending to gardens, reading a good book, thinking of and occasionally writing a story or 2, photography, movies, film and the great out doors.

It has been my pleasure treating all of my many patients over the years and I will continue to do so.

I am the newest addition to the team. I received my dental degree in 2000 from the University of the Philippines. After practicing for a few years in the Philippines, I made the big move to the Bay Area and acquired my California dental license in 2006. I have been in private practice since. I also worked as a clinical instructor of the Dental Hygiene Program in Foothill College in Los Altos.

When I’m not helping patients brighten their smile, I enjoy traveling with my husband, daughter and fur baby Benny. I spend hours researching and creating active travel itineraries for my family and friends that I even started a travel blog to document our travels and help other busy moms plan their trips as well. When I am not searching for travel deals, you will find me tinkering around the house looking for my next home DIY project.

I am glad to be joining Dr. Toolson and Dr. Reyes in giving our patients the same personalized care that has been delivered since 1978. I am looking forward to meeting all of you.
