What is the iTero digital scanner and how will it benefit me?

From digital impressions to full arch scans, we use the iTero digital scanner to create a 3D model of your teeth, at no additional cost to you and with no radiation. It’s gentle, safe, and relatively fast!  

The iTero restorative scanner enables us to visually review your oral health, to preventively and proactively identify problems that may lead to costly painful dentistry if seen too late. Once we have a baseline or your initial wellness scan on file, we can turn on a 3D Side-by-side comparison to holistically view and track and monitor changes in your teeth and gums over time.

iTero is the first 3D intraoral scanner with Near-Infrared Imaging (“NIRI”) technology, designed to safely identify interproximal caries (cavities) above the gum line before they show up on an Xray.   

If you have a traumatic bite, we can use AI to show you an instant smile simulation or “Before & After”,  simply from the click of a button after your oral scan is complete.

We can even capture screen shots from your consultation using the snapshot tool, and incorporate them into a custom annual oral health report to send home with you after your consultation.

When patients can see their changes over time, they’re more likely to stay engaged and take better care of their oral health. Which helps you to keep an eye on treatment progress, for better outcomes.
